■HASTINGS United backed up their midweek win with a convincing victory over second-bottom East Grinstead Town.
Lloyd Dawes opened the scoring after 13 minutes, his first competitive goal for United, and Ben Pope doubled the lead with a shot from 20 yards a few minutes before half-time.
East Grinstead’s positive start to the second half was abruptly ended via a thumping header from Finn O’Mara, who also registered his first United goal.
