■ KIDLINGTON’S Billy Gillett came closest to breaking the deadlock in this tough tackling goalless draw.
The former North Leigh striker’s opportunity came just seven minutes into the contest when his strike from distance cannoned off an upright and away to safety with home keeper Ashlee Jones well beaten.
The remainder of the first half was notable for some spicy tackling by both sides and somewhat surprisingly only Bradley Cox for the visitors and Nathaniel Orafu of Abbey found their way into the book.
