SOUTHPORT continued their formidable away form as they go one step closer to promotion with victory over a lacklustre Gloucester City.
Port came close to taking an early lead when Jordan Archer got on the end of a through ball that was squeezed through the Gloucester defence but failed to test Jake Cole with his effort.
Woods matched his emphatic shot with an im pressive backflip right in front of the away fans.
