Lowly Tanners grab a lifeline

JERMAINE McGlashan’s late winner gave basement club Leatherhead’s battle to avoid the drop a massive boost in North London.
The Tanners produced strong finishes to both halves, having conceded early goals in each, to emerge victorious from this unlikely five-goal thriller.
Leatherhead took the match to Haringey from the word go.
But the hosts went ahead on eight minutes when Alfred Bawling and David Olufemi combined well down the right and the latter’s superb cross was headed home by Mekhi Leacock-McLeod.
