Could clubs not provide both formats?

I READ your piece by Tony Incenzo (NLP, June 12) on why clubs prefer digital programmes, citing how easy they are to access and how they can be amended right up to the moment when fans arrive through the gate.
The second point is correct, they can be amended right up to the moment of kick-off and it is indeed less trouble as you don’t have to consider a printer’s deadline.
Having helped produce a club’s matchday programme in the past, I can sympathise with that.
I used to have to get my electronic copy to the printer before Thursday morning to have it printed...
