Posh defeat was just the final nail

IN Steve Hill’s article (NLP, August 21) he says “it was the Posh who first relegated us into Non-League back in 2000AD”.
I don’t think it was Posh who got Chester relegated alone, Steve, more like the fact that Chester lost 26 other games that season and only won ten.
In fact, a month before the Posh game, Chester lost to a Carlisle side with only nine men! Posh didn’t send Chester down, but may have been the final nail in the coffin.
