ROVERS fell to a heavy defeat at Sharpenhoe Rd despite having the better of the early chances.
The impressive Ty Ward had the best of the home side’s efforts in the first half but couldn’t make the breakthrough.
Barton were made to pay for not taking their chances as the visitors took the lead in the 34th minute through Samson Maagbe.
The home side put in a spirited first-half performance with no reward.
