Carl Dickinson says he has had a long-running admiration for the vociferous, yet long-suffering, Bury FC fans – and he can’t wait to get the famous Gigg Lane roar on his side.
The 36-year-old has previously led out the likes of Port Vale, Portsmouth and Yeovil Town at the spiritual home of the Shakers, but will now get to don the famous white shirt himself in this, the most momentous season in the club’s turbulent history.
