Danny Newton was playing for Tamworth in National League North when he was spotted by scouts from the Jamie Vardy V9 Academy.

DANNY Newton was playing for Tamworth in National League North when he was spotted by scouts from the Jamie Vardy V9 Academy.
Ironically, they’d come to watch opponents AFC Fylde, but were so impresseded by the Lambs’ all-action tre-forward that they invited him to join Vardy’s stable of cen- EFL hopefuls for a series of trial games at Manchester City’s Etihad complex.
Newton excelled, was snapped up by Stevenage and took League Two by storm, scoring 14 goal...
