BEN’S IN BOTHER FOR HIS BETTING

BANBURY United say they are offering support to midfielder Ben Acquaye after he admitted placing almost 650 bets on football matches over four years.
The 23-year-old has been charged with betting misconduct, having breached FA Rule E8. It is in respect to 645 bets placed on football matches between September 22, 2018 and April 19, 2022.
The Puritans said that ‘the charge relates to historic breaches of FA betting rules as part of a wide-ranging investigation across Non-League football’.
