HAYES & Yeading opened the season with a hardearned victory at newly promoted Didcot Town.
The first half was largely dominated by the visitors, so it was no surprise when Sam Ashton opened the scoring after 25 minutes when he turned in from close range after a low ball from Adam Liddle.
Hayes dominated possession, with Omar Rowe and Amos Nasha particularly impressive. It was Rowe who nearly gave Hayes a 2-0 lead on the stroke of half-time when he rose highest to meet a Jack Williams cross, but Leigh Bedwell in the home goal ...
