FA CUP fever gripped Wimborne Town as a club-record attendance of 1,852 turned out to watch them take on full-time professionals Torquay of National League South yesterday.
The visitors’ quality showed from the off as they almost opened the scoring after five minutes, with a header that hit the underside of the bar before Bert White gathered the rebound.
