■ GRAYS Athletic and Basildon United played out an entertaining draw under the Friday night lights. The home side had the better of the early exchanges but the visitors took the lead after 17 minutes when Alejandro Machado’s free-kick found Kye Jude at the far post and he headed home.
Jordan Peart and Aron Gordon were busy for Grays out wide.
Grays equalised early in the second half when Rob Clark’s slide-rule pass found Charlie Stimson who finished smartly.
