BRACKLEY TOWN put in a good defensive display to win away at Alfreton – a result that sees the Saints climb above The Reds and into the play-off places.
Captain Gareth Dean scored the only goal of the match on 54 minutes, turning home after Tommy O’Sullivan’s effort was blocked by Harry Perritt.
In a low-key opening 45, the first sight on goal came to Alfreton’s Shaun Brisley, but he blazed over after a well-worked set-piece from the home side.
