CHATHAM Town kept on the tail of leaders Hornchurch by storming to victory against Canvey Island at the Bauvill Stadium.
The Chats got off to the perfect start as new-boy Miquel Scarlett and the in-form Kareem Isiaka forced an own goal from Tobi Tinubu just after the minute mark.
Ashley Nzala, with some brilliant footwork, then coolly slotted past Canvey goalkeeper Sam Jackson to double the lead on 12 minutes.
