Match Preview: Winterton Rangers v Cleethorpes Town (Saturday, 3pm)

Winterton Rangers are on a terrible run ahead of hosting Cleethorpes Town at West Street on Saturday, with just two points collected from their last six games.

Winterton have picked up two draws and four losses in their last six Northern Premier League Division One – East games, and face a Cleethorpes side whose last six games have brought one win and two draws.

Winterton are bottom of the table after 31 games, of which they have won six and drawn four, earning 22 points.

Cleethorpes are six places ahead of Rangers in 14th, with nine wins and 10 draws putting them on 37 points.

With 27 goals in 31 games so far this season, the home team are the league’s lowest scorers with 0.9 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 67 goals at a rate of 2.2 per game.

Town are also below average scorers, with 1.4 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have also conceded 1.4 goals per game.

Winterton’s last match was on March 23, a 2-0 loss against Newton Aycliffe.

Cleethorpes drew 0-0 with Stockton Town last time out, also on March 23.
