KETTERING went top of the tree after securing victory, but were made to work hard for the points by a well-drilled AFC Sudbury.
A bumper crowd of over 1,400 supporters welcomed the Suffolk-based side, no doubt off the back of an exciting FA Cup draw with League One side Northampton Town.
But it’s success in the league that will, ultimately, determine if the Poppies are the real deal this season.
