■ GOALS from Jacob Holland-Wilkinson and Jack McGowan earned leaders Widnes a win over Stafford.
Widnes made a strong start and almost took a fourth-minute lead, but Tom Peterson could only turn over from Harry McGee’s cut back. The opening goal came just three minutes later. McGee again supplied the cross that Cameron Belford could only parry straight to Holland-Wilkinson who made no mistake. Rangers went close through defender Ethan Patterson, who nodded wide from a deep cross.
Widnes made sure of the points on the hour mark.
