LEISTON collected a third win in a row, all with clean sheets, to move up to eighth in the league after a grafting performance against a much-improved Hitchin Town side, who came into the game on a decent run of results.
The first half was short on opportunities – both sides appeared tentative and shot-shy. Late in the half, Jamar Loza went through on goal to be denied by Hitchin keeper Sebastian Stacey, and George Quantrell’s header was cleared offthe line late in the half.
