GRANTHAM slipped to a single goal defeat against playoff-chasing Sporting Khalsa in a tight game at the Meres.
Khalsa went close after six minutes when they hit the post following a corner. Seaton for Grantham brought saves from Khalsa keeper Gauley after 20 minutes as Grantham pressed for the opener.
Khalsa took the lead after 32 minutes when Co-bourne beat the offside trap to go through and fire past the Grantham keeper Cooper.
The hosts pushed for an equaliser in the second half with Cook firing over after 50 minutes.
