A PHYSICAL and tight battle didn’t exactly make for a great showing for the neutrals, as a frustrated Garforth Town failed to score past a Heaton Stannington side in the relegation zone.
A rather lacklustre first half saw the action heavily diffused with many fouls committed by both sides.
Heaton’s Alex Payne had the visitors’ main chance of the period with an effort from a tight angle which was saved well by Garforth keeper Harry Flatters.
