■ NEWTON Aycliffe produced a dominant display to move within a point of the play-offs.
Although Bridlington had an early chance which was well saved by Jim Pollard, Aycliffe responded with a goal after 21 minutes. A superb cross from Jake Petitjean was met at the back post by Liam Jarvie who headed home.
The home side doubled the lead in the 34th minute with a break down the right by Alex Nelson leading to a ball to Liam Adamson who fired home.
Four minutes later a cross from Jarvie found Jack Clarkson who turned it past the keeper.
