■ BURGESS Hill did the double over Erith Town with a narrow victory.
It took the Hillians 26 minutes to break the deadlock but it arrived in style as Martyn Box whipped a dangerous corner into the mixer and Erith didn’t mark Ben Pope who leapt like a salmon and struck a bullet header past everyone for his 10th goal of the season.
Burgess Hill have made a name of keeping clean sheets and being incredibly tough to break down, and so it proved again.
