■ EASTBOURNE Town were clinical as they won away at Steyning Town Community.
In the seventh minute, James Waters bundled over Robert Malila in an aerial challenge and gave Eastbourne the lead at the second attempt.
The nearest the hosts came to a first-half equaliser was a header from Lucas Murrain from a left-wing cross.
In first-half stoppage time, Steyning’s defence was torn apart by a simple pass to Alex Brewer,
and he beat Nathan Stroomberg-Clarke with a low shot.
