■ IMPROVING Sheffield FC fuelled their rising hopes of avoiding relegation thanks to Stephen Brogan’s winner.
The Club have now collected seven points from their past four matches and helped their cause by beating a direct rival to the drop.
Luke Aldrich put the visitors ahead after 28 minutes only for a neat finish from Jack Stockdill to restore parity. In the second half, Aldrich was thwarted by Zac Hadi’s smart save and Joe West struck the bar to leave Sheffield cursing their luck.
