SOUTHEND United moved up to third in the National League South Division with a performance to delight manager Danny Heath.
The Shrimpers came into this match on a good run of form and continued that with a comfortable victory at Slough Town.
The first half remained goalless with both Southend goalkeeper Joshua Barrett and his opposite number Emerson Butcher called into action a number of times.
Southend enjoyed a flying start to the second half with teenager Obi Okafo opening the scoring for the Shrimpers two minutes into the re-start.
