BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent closed the gap to fourth with a late, narrow victory at home to title-chasing Bury Town.
Brightlingsea left it late to claim a huge three points as they made up ground on Waltham Abbey, with just one point separating the two sides now, while the visitors stay third.
An open and competitive game saw little between the two teams until the second- half period. In the first minute after the half-time interval, Bury hit the woodwork twice.
