BEDFORD Town went to the top of the table after defeating Leiston, which saw the home side’s playoff hopes slip as they fell a place to ninth
Town striker Eddie Panter found himself in on goal early on but Eddie Jackson did well to put the player off and the Blues cleared.
Further chances from both sides were hard to come by with the wind playing its part. Billy Johnson’s long throw for the Blues after 17 minutes resulted in the home side breaking upfield and winning a corner, but George Quantrell could only head over Fraser Ale...
