MID-TABLE clubs Shepshed and Racing Club shared the spoils at the Dovecote Stadium.
The home side began brightly and got their reward on 16 minutes.
Louis Samuels netted at the second attempt from close range to give Shepshed the lead.
The hosts were handed a golden opportunity to put daylight between themselves and the visitors after goalscorer Samuels was brought down inside the area.
Kyle Dixon couldn’t find the net from the spot, instead hitting the crossbar.
