■THE Lilywhites picked up a vital three points on a sunny but windy afternoon at Seel Park.
After a tentative start from both sides, it was Mossley who opened the scoring in the 11th minute, Tony Thompson with a foul in the area and Eric Yahaya converting the resulting spot-kick. From that point, it was the Lilywhites in control of the game.
Obua Mugalula went close and Sean Kgwakgwa was involved throughout. Bootle went close twice with Ben Hodkinson skimming the bar and heading wide, but Joe Berks’ corner was thumped home by Yahaya...
