Shildon remain three points behind Redcar after Nathan Greenwood’s 15th minute free kick gave them a 1-0win over Whitley Bay at Dean Street.
Blyth Town lost ground after they were held 0-0at home by Northallerton Town, while Boro Rangers are up to fourth following a 2-1comeback win at Easington Colliery, with Jacob Thompson and sub Nathan Liddell on target.
