WELLING UNITED’S heavy defeat at home to Maidstone United confirmed their first ever relegation from the National League South.
However, it was a good day for the Stones as the victory took them back into the play-off places.
Jez Davies drew a brilliant save, via the bar, out of Maidstone goalkeeper Alexis Andre Jr in the opening minutes before the visitors went ahead in the 18th minute. Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong burst down the right and sent Aaron Blair through and he thrashed it home.
