IN WHAT was Aveley legend Danny Scopes’ last game as manager, the officials took centre stages, dishing out multiple yellow cards and two red cards, with the hosts and Bath City playing a really entertaining score draw at Parkside. Luke Holness was a whisker away from putting the home side ahead inside two minutes but his effort deflected into the side netting.
Holness wasn’t to be denied for long as he galloped through on goal and lashed home from close range to put Aveley ahead inside ten minutes.
