Ambers’ gamble ends in a draw

BASFORD UNITED fought back from two goals down to secure a draw against Hebburn Town at Greenwich Avenue to end their season on a high.
The Hornets got off to a flying start as a dangerous ball from Liam Noble into the Basford box saw goalkeeper Saul Deeney and Robbie Spence reach for it, and the latter got there ahead of the Ambers’ shot-stopper to head the visitors into an early lead.
