MARK Thorne has returned to Yate Town six days after the boardroom battle that made him quit – despite “stalemate” over his plans for a 3G pitch.
Thorne walked away from the Southern League Division One South champions last Tuesday following a disagreement with fellow director and co-owner of the club’s Lodge Road ground Colin Pick over how ground improvement funding should be spent and who had the power to decide.
