It’s Fergie time for Heed’s Alun

ALUN Armstrong has made experienced defender David Ferguson his first signing at Gateshead.
The 31-year-old spent five years at Hartlepool United, making well over 200 appearances for the club,
Prior to that, the left-back had turned out for Blackpool in the Championship and also served the likes of Shildon, Darlington and York City.
Ferguson said: “As soon as I spoke to Alun and said I’m available, it was a no brainer.
“I’ve known the manager quite a long time and he’s been a big factor in joining.”
