EXPERIENCED striker Danny Johnson has returned to where it all started – at Hartlepool United.
The 32-year-old Teessider began his career in the Pools’ youth-team set-up and has made over 350 appearances across England and Scotland for the likes of Gateshead, Motherwell, Leyton Orient, Mansfield and, most recently, Walsall.
Meanwhile, Pools legend Gary Liddle has also returned to the club as an academy coach.
Homegrown favourite Liddle, 39, made 364 appearances over three playing spells for Pools, helping them to promotion to the EFL in 2021.
