WOOD’S NOD FOR THE CUP

BOREHAM Wood have been drafted in to join the National League Cup line-up, replacing the suspended Morecambe, who have been removed.
The competition, returning for its second season, gets underway next month as 32 teams look to follow in the footsteps of inaugural winner Leeds United.
Wood now join the competition and have been placed in Group B alongside fellow National League sides Braintree Town, Forest Green Rovers and Wealdstone.
Luek Garrard’s side will also be joined by PL2 sides Nottingham Forest, Leicester City, West Bromwich Albion and Wolves.
