HAMPTON & Richmond Borough opened their campaign with a stalemate at home to Salisbury.
A sunny Beveree stadium was in good spirits before kick-off as the players walked out onto a revitalised pitch, which boasts new goals and a digital scoreboard.
It seemed the players missed competitive football as much as the fans. Despite the warm conditions, the first half had a frenetic energy with lots of pressing and quick transitions. Salisbury midfielders Tommy Willard and Josh Keeya were the brightest sparks in the first half.
