IT WAS more a war of attrition than a classic, as Stamford played out a draw with Alvechurch.
With the blustery conditions not helping, Alvechurch started marginally the better and a long throw found Temitope Obadeyi, but his shot was straight at Tom Jackson.
Obadeyi was a nuisance in the middle and when he tried his luck from range it produced a wonderful save from Jackson at full stretch.
