■ BISHOP Auckland’s FA Cup run ended as Chadderton striker Lewis Byrne inspired a clinical 3-1 win at Heritage Park.
Byrne opened the scoring after 40 minutes with a curling left-footed strike into a top corner before the tie erupted in first-half stoppage time with a flurry of cards. Bishop’s Brown was initially shown red before it was rescinded, but team-mate Thexton was dismissed, leaving the hosts to battle with ten men.
