GOOSE POO CAUSES HELLY FOR SPELLY

THEY say what’s good for the goose is good for the gander – but maybe that doesn’t apply to Combined Counties League side Spelthorne Sports.
The unfortunate Step 6 club have been visited regularly by a large group of Canadian geese and the birds’ droppings led to Bank Holiday Monday’s fixture with visitors Wembley being called off.
Their visitors reportedly refused to play the Division One fixture such was the poo on the pitch, prompting league chiefs to take action.
