SPALDING United marked their return to the revamped Sir Halley Stewart ground by causing an FA Cup shock.
The Tulips defeated National League North visitors Alfreton in their first home game of the season.
Goals from Bart Cybulski (2) and Jordan Nicholson secured the success as Spalding ended a run of 14 successive away games, including pre-season.
The Tulips broke the deadlock in the 37th minute when Cybulski turned home a wicked cross from Jack Roberts.
