MARTIN SMARTING OVER WINGS EXIT

WELLING United have thanked supporters for their “patience and loyalty” after a poor start to the season led to the departure of manager Lee Martin.
The 38-year-old took over the newly-relegated Wings in the summer and signed 18 players in an attempt to turn fortunes around at Park View Road.
But just two wins and eight defeats from their opening ten league games left the Kent club in the Isthmian League Premier Division relegation zone before club chiefs decided to act.
