MALVERN TOWN retained their second place in the table on goal difference after a rousing home victory over fourth-placed Winchester City.
In front of an impressive crowd of 484, the visitors stormed ahead in only the second minute of the game.
A ferocious strike from Tommy Wright on the break from a Malvern corner flew over home goalkeeper Seth Locke to give the Citizens a shock lead.
