FORMER Slough Town midfielder John Gilbert scored twice in the first half to help Maidstone United to a third successive league victory.
Maidstone were rewarded with two goals in quick succession. The first came when Jephte Tanga was played in down the left and delivered a low cross that Gilbert converted from close range. Moments later, Antony Papadopoulos’ ball from the right was met by Deon Moore, blocked by Scott Davies, and Gilbert reacted quickest to turn in the rebound.
