FORMER Manchester United winger Lee Martin is back in the manager’s dugout after Ben Smith stepped away to move upstairs at Ramsgate.
Martin, who was axed as Welling United boss last month, will take over the Isthmian Premier newcomers on an interim basis after Smith decided to take up a new role on the club’s committee.
Smith will go down as the Rams’ most successful ever manager, steering them to a televised FA Cup second round tie against AFC Wimbledon just two years ago, followed by a championship-winning, 109-point season last season.
