LATE DOUBLE SEES U’S TAKE CRUCIAL WIN

HASTINGS UNITED distanced themselves from the likes of VCD Athletic in the Isthmian League South East Division’s relegation zone with a fine away success at the Oakwood Stadium.
The U’s hit the front just before the interval, as Freddie Legg smashed home after fine hold-up play from Walter Figueira in the 41st minute.
They had to wait until late in the second half to secure the win, however, as the VCD back line finally crumbled.
