High-flyers Fylde can’t find way past City

EWAN CLARK’S goal on the hour saw Oxford City pick up an important win against second-placed AFC Fylde at the MGroup Stadium yesterday.
In truth, it was a game with few clear-cut chances, with both defences proving to be stubborn to break down.
That said, Jonny Maxted, making his debut in goal for City on loan from Brackley Town, was kept busy and – just four minutes into his debut – he pushed a Luca Thomas effort around the post.
