Rebels yelling with a double swoop

Worthing have added more firepower to their National League South promotion bid with an impressive double striker swoop.

MOVE: Wiktor Makowski

WORTHING have added more firepower to their National League South promotion bid with an impressive double striker swoop.

Boss Adam Hinshelwood has brought in talented Polish forward Wiktor Makowski for an undisclosed fee from Slough Town and added experienced Ashley Nadesan on a loan deal from Sutton United.

Makowski, 23, has emerged as one of the division’s most productive strikers this term, scoring 13 goals and supplying nine assists in 33 games for the Rebels.

He was originally was on the books of Worthing’s academy before moving back to Poland with fifth tier side Lublinianka in 2021.

The forward then returned to England with Risborough Rangers before enjoying spells with Westfield, Thame United and Flackwell Heath amongst others.

Nadesan arrives at Woodside Road on a temporary deal from Chris Agutter’s Sutton, with the Rebels fending off fierce competition for the marksman’s signature.

At 31, Nadesan has racked up over 200 appearances in League Two over a successful career, with the majority of those coming for Crawley Town.

“[They are] two unbelievable signings for the football club. Nadders [Nadeson] is coming from a level above with a lot of pedigree from playing in the Football League and I think that experience is going to be vital for us.

“He’s got some pace and I felt we were lacking that a bit at the top end of the pitch.

“Wiktor is someone we have come against a couple of times now and seems to always score against us and put in good performances so we’ve been tracking him since then.

“We’re delighted with both new signings, who add some real firepower to our team.”
